President Donald Trump Seems To Be Mulling The Idea Of Firing Dr. Anthony Fauci Who Confirmed That H

Well that did not take long, President Donald Trump is getting ready to fire Anthony Fauci, the top health expert who has been helping him and even guiding him through the coronavirus pandemic.

Late Sunday night, despite having the biggest crisis of his troubled presidency on his hands, Trump found time to jump on Twitter to repost a tweet from a supporter who demanded that the infectious disease specialist be fired.

President Trump, on Sunday night, retweeted a post that called for the ousting of Dr. Fauci after the infectious disease specialist appeared on CNN.

The now-viral tweet from DeAnna Lorraine, a former GOP candidate for Congress, included the hashtag #FireFauci.

She wrote: “Fauci is now saying that had Trump listened to the medical experts earlier, he could’ve saved more lives. Fauci was telling people on Feb. 29 that there was nothing to worry about, and it posed no threat to the U.S. public at large. Time to #FireFauci…”

Trump wrote this caption to accompany Lorraine’s post: “Sorry, Fake News, it’s all on tape. I banned China long before people spoke up.”

Trump is angry at Fauci, who appeared on CNN’s State of the Union and said many American lives could have been saved if Trump acted earlier.

He said: “You know, Jake, as I have said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. As I have said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often, the recommendation is taken. Sometimes, it’s not. It is what it is. We are where we are right now.”

Fauci added that, “you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives.”

He continued: “Obviously, no one is going to deny that, but what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated. I mean, obviously, if we had right from the very beginning shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different, but there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.”

Thus far, the U.S. has over 530,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and roughly 20,600 deaths caused by it.

Trump has been slammed for mishandling the outbreak and for not having enough testing and medical equipment. The former reality TV star also claimed that the virus would disappear like a “miracle.”
