The Blocks Jon-Jeremy Bradey dies: Tradie was 42

A beloved tradie on The Block who died earlier this month aged just 42 had got married six months earlier.

Jon-Jeremy Bradey, also known as Jon Jon, died on October 14 in Melbourne.

The ‘pool king’ appeared on several series of the hit show and was regarded as “one of the greatest heroes in the industry”.

He was married to his wife, Candice Howman, and had three children, Anileese, Kobe and Amelia.

Bittersweet photos from their big day at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast show how the couple were the picture of happiness as they tied the knot surrounded by family and friends.

Another video shows the pair dancing as family and friends cheer them on.

“It’s our 6 months anniversary today, miss & love you forever,” Mrs Howman wrote on Facebook earlier this week.

“We are completely overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support and prayers and from the bottom of our hearts we thank you dearly,” a distraught Ms Howman also said.

The Block ran a tribute to Mr Bradey at the end of Sunday’s show.

He helped work on Kirsty and Josh’s home in The Block’s 2021 season, and also concreted Josh and Luke's pool that year.

His attention to detail arned him the nickname “Mr 1 per cent”, becase all of his work was finished with the highest quality.

Industry pal Reece Daniltchenko told the Herald Sun that Mr Bradey was an “industry icon”.

“Jon Jon was a devoted husband, father and friend, anything could be achieved when you had him in charge, which I had the privilege of witnessing first-hand,” he said.

“To have the opportunity to work with someone so reliable, trustworthy and a leader to his team, always gave me the confidence knowing that the end result will be delivered.”

Mr Bradey’s funeral took place on Monday.

His cause of death has not been revealed.
